Planned Giving Options In Your Will/Bequest

Neighborhood Ministries > Planned Giving Options In Your Will/Bequest

Your Will is a reflection of the people and causes that you value most. Many faithful individuals have made bequests to Neighborhood Ministries over the years, leaving a legacy of hope and transformation in the lives of the kids and families we serve. In addition, you can receive an estate tax charitable deduction, which will reduce the tax burden on your family.

Here are 3 types of bequests to consider:

1. Specific Bequest

You simply leave to Neighborhood Ministries a specific sum of money or other assets.

2. Percentage or Residue Bequest

You may choose to leave us a percentage of your estate or the “rest, residue or remainder” after all other bequests, debts and taxes have been paid.

3. Contingent Bequest

A bequest made on condition that a certain event must occur before distribution to the beneficiary.
