Kids Life is Neighborhood Ministries’ long-standing after-school program for K-7^th grade students. Every Monday evening during the academic year, an average of 160 youth gather for dinner, worship time, Bible lessons, and age-appropriate classes such as mindfulness, expressive arts, literacy, woodworking, and sports.

Each year, the program reaches about 400 primarily Latinx, inner-city Phoenix youth from low-income households who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in safe, structured extracurricular activities. It offers mentoring, social-emotional learning, relationship-building and builds protective factors in youth who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences. Additionally, this longstanding youth program connects diverse, historically underserved youth and their families to Neighborhood Ministries' holistic services, such as our food bank, bilingual church, Bible Study, workforce development program, and academic support services.
